Looks I Love: Lisa Airan in Mary Katrantzou

I told you guys how big the Water-Inspiration trend is for S/S 2012 a few weeks ago! I love Dr. Lisa Airan in Mary Katrantzou's aquatic print bubble dress at Carnegie Hall's Medal of Excellence Gala last week!

It's a really daring choice for a conservative event but it works and she looks lovely. I'm curious as to what bag she carried with this ensemble..

I have Mary Katrantzou's woven dress in the same print, and I'm dying to wear it before it gets too warm!

What do you guys think? Was Dr. Airan's dress too avant-garde for such a conservative event? Or was it a great choice to shake things up?

Celebs Love: Christian Louboutin Unbout Illusion Pump

Every season a shoe comes along that become downright ubiquitous among fashionable celebs. For Spring 2012 the undeniable champ is Christian Louboutin's Unbout Illusion pump!

Rihanna and Alicia Keys were both first spotted in the black suede version at the Grammy Awards in February...

...and recently La La Anthony, Brooklyn Decker, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, and Rita Ora have all been seen in the PVC pumps in various colors in the last two weeks!

I loved the Unbout Illusion pumps when I spotted them in February and tracked them down until I found a pair a few weeks ago and wore them to the New Yorkers for Children event.

What do you guys think of the pumps? Do you still love them or is it complete overkill for you seeing them so much in the last month? Which color is your favorite? Did you grab a pair when they were in stores?

Spring 2012 Trend: Tribal / Global Traveler

The Tribal trend is one of my favorites of all time! It comes around every few seasons and I always try to update my collection with a new piece. For S/S 2012 designers like Michael Kors, Burberry Prorsum, Donna Karan, and Herve Leger delved deep into the trend and came up with some great modern classics! Something about the handcrafted, artisanal feel of Tribal pieces always strikes a chord with me!

I told you guys how much I love Dolce & Gabbana's S/S 2012 robust Italian culinary prints a few weeks ago when I profiled their eggplant dress. Well, here's Dree Hemmingway in their chili pepper-print skirt and cropped bustier at Coachella!

Love this! The print is amazing, and I love that crop tops are making a bit of a come back. This is the perfect RTW outfit for Coachella! Hey, not everyone wants to slum it in Urban Outfitter tanks and cutoff jean shorts lol!
