Inside My Closet: Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti Bottle Necklace

I adore jewelry that is timeless. One of my favorite pieces is my Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti Bottle Necklace! Elsa Peretti is an Italian designer best known for her understated and timeless collections with Tiffany's including the Open Heart, Bean and Starfish lines. Her bottle collection however is my favorite! She began designing the bottle necklace in the 70's after she was inspired by a trip to Portofino, Italy. Popular in the Studio 54 era, Tiffany & Co. recently revived the collection!

The necklace is available in gold or silver and in different sizes and shapes. Some bottles feature removable stoppers made of lapis, black jade, or turquoise.

Here I am wearing the necklace in my recent Time Out New York Closet case feature, at an album release for Jason DeRulo, and on the red carpet for an ESPN event!

In addition to being simply beautiful, the necklace is very versatile . It can be worn casually during the day with a cute top and jeans but works just as well with an evening gown or cocktail dress.

Socialite Maggie Betts wore the small and medium versions together over a sleeveless Equipment top in her Elle Fashion Workbook profile last year.
