Heavy Rotation: Mapei "Don't Wait"

I've been listening to "Don't Wait" by Swedish born newcomer, Mapei for the last month or two non-stop. The song was released last year but is having a big moment right now with the release of her debut album last month. The lyrics, about a friendship or love that is there through thick and thin, are incredible. Check out the song below.

Obsession of the Day: Isa Arfen Oversized Camel Coat

Last winter Max Mara's Teddy Bear Coat became the 'it' coat of the season after being spotted on Carine Roitfeld, Kim Kardashian, and countless cool girls in fashion.

The oversized camel fur coat sold out everywhere quickly and left a ton of fashion forward ladies (myself included!) wanting their own version. This season, Isa Afen has answered the call with her gorgeous oversized camel brushed alpaca and mohair-blend coat!

Much more wearable than the Teddy Coat with it's more reasonably sized lapels and arms, this beauty is a great option to get the look!

Grab one at Net-a-porter before it sells out!

What I Wore: New York Fashion Week S/S 2015

Hey guys!! I hope everyone had a great NYFW! I had a very abbreviated fashion week this season and only attended and deejayed a few parties. I had a VERY good reason though, I was chosen to spin for Ms. Oprah Winfrey's incredible The Life You Want Tour (whooo hoooo!!) which started during the same time. More on that amazing experience later!!!

The Sunday night of Fashion Week, Farfetch hosted a dinner with Suno at a gorgeous private rooftop in Soho! I finally wore my Anthony Vaccarello skirt and paired it with a simple white Calvin Klein collection top, my Lanvin 'Kiss' necklace and gold Gianvito Rossi pumps!

Here I am with my girls, Nausheen Shah and Stephanie Horton!

And with Farfetch Ambassadors Nausheen Shah, Fiona Byrne, and blogger Susie Bubbles!
I was thrilled later that Harper's Bazaar included me in their Fashion Week Roundup from the dinner!

Tuesday night, I was excited to help relaunch Conde Nast's Fashion Rocks, a huge event that combines my two loves, fashion and music! Funny story - one of my very FIRST big gigs when I first started deejaying was spinning the afterparty for Fashion Rocks in 2008. The following year during the horrible recession, Conde Nast ended up putting the show on indefinite hiatus. Six years later they've partnered with Macy's to bring it back - talk about full circle! This year Fashion Rocks was held at the Barclay's Center and featured performances by J.Lo, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Pitbull and tons of other chart-topping artists. I attended the show with my good friend Legendary Damon and deejayed the after party!

I hit the red carpet in a Proenza Schouler flocked skirt and top with my green Saint Laurent pumps, Marni necklace, twin black Tiffany & Co. bone cuffs, and Perrin Paris glove clutch!

For my makeup look, I added Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner in Deep End on my bottom lash line, for a pop of green!

A selfie with Legendary Damon inside the Barclays Center! He looked dapper in a custom gold sequined suit and matching accessories!

Ryan Seacrest hosted the festivities!

Spinning the after party at 40/40 inside the Barclays

DJ Chelsea Leyland deejayed the pre-party! Here we are with the lovely Brandee Brown!

The next day I deejayed for Us Weekly's 2014 Most Stylish New Yorkers party at the Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel!

Here I am before heading out!

...and on the carpet!

I wore one of my current favorite pieces, my orange hand-print Osman skirt and paired it with an Alexander Wang leather top, leopard-print perspex Gianvito Rossi pumps, Charlotte Olympia perspex clutch, and Herve van der Straeten gold earrings!

I ran into three of my favorite ladies at the party: ballerina, Misty Copeland who was an honoree; Prince protege and powerhouse vocalist Liv Warfield; and the one and only Fashion Queen, Bevy Smith who was also an honoree!

And that's how I did NY Fashion Week this season kids...four days of fun and then I headed to Detroit for the second weekend of Oprah's The Life You Want tour!

How was your Fashion Week?? Which parties and shows did you attend??

Obsession of the Day: Rosie Assoulin 'Editor' Top

In honor of the start of NYFW tomorrow, my obsession of the day is from New York-based designer, Rosie Assoulin! I think we've all been peplumed to death over the past 3 or 4 years but the structured design and strategically placed cutouts make her 'Editor' top a fresh take on a classic!

Grab it!
